Inspiration - Manuel Álvarez Bravo
If you want to take better photographs you have to go out and click. However, in this day and age it takes a little bit more, since the advent of technology has brought us easier ways to capture, we forget about the content.
One exercise that I do often is to research for photography Icons, photographers who have (had) a voice, it doesn't have to be related to fashion necessarily.
While doing this and reading about the Hasselblad Award Winners, I found Don Manuel Álvarez Bravo. Born in Mexico City, he grew up to be the most iconic photographer of Latin America in the 20th Century.
He had the natural talent to turn ordinary things into Iconic or surrealist captures. He was self-taught and had European influences.
Let's share some images of Don Manuél, the centenary man (died at age 100) and wonderful photographer.
